Samsung’s new software update is slowly reaching the Galaxy S20. The April 2022 security update, which was first released to the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy S22 series two weeks ago, is now available for the Galaxy S20 series in Europe.

The latest software update for the LTE variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra bears firmware version G98xFXXSDFVC9. The 5G variants of the phones are getting the new update with firmware version G98xBXXSDFVC9.

The new update brings the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It could also bring device stability improvements and some general bug fixes.

If you are a Galaxy S20 series user in Europe, you can now download the latest software update via the OTA method by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 series in early 2020 with Android 10. The Android 11 update was released last year, and the Android 12 update was released earlier this year.
