Samsung has released one more update for its original foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold 5G. The South Korean firm has released the May 2022 security update to the smartphone, and the update is rolling out in the UK. More markets could get the update over the next few days.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold 5G comes with firmware version F907BXXS6HVD1. The update comes with the May 2022 security patch that fixes many privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The update might also include general bug fixes and stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Fold 5G user in the UK, you can download and install the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. However, you need to backup all your data before the manual flashing process.

Samsung had launched its first 5G foldable phone, the Galaxy Fold 5G, in late 2019 with Android 9 onboard. The device received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12 update in early 2022.
