Galaxy Note 10+ gets One UI 4.0 update in India

Samsung started rolling out the One UI 4.0-based Android 12 update to the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ about two weeks ago. The update has finally arrived on my personal Galaxy Note 10+ device in India with build number N9756FXXU7GULD. It is based on the January 2022  security patch and weighs in at a hefty 2,313MB.

You should receive a notification for the One UI 4.0 update on your Galaxy Note 10+ shortly. If not, try and manually trigger it be heading over to Settings > Software update. You can also manually sideload the firmware from our database. Make sure that you pick the firmware corresponding to India, though.

Most of the important One UI 4.0 features have been included with the update, as far as I can see. However, I still haven’t done a deep dive and will publish the results once I’m done. So far, the phone has been working fine, although it did get a bit toasty when the update was being installed. We can chalk that down to the ageing Exynos 9825 struggling to keep up with the hefty update.

One UI 4.0 is the last major update that the Galaxy Note 10 series will ever receive. It shouldn’t be long before the lower-specced Galaxy Note 10 follows suit. While it is remarkably better off than some of its predecessors, it’s a tad disappointing to know that it is the end of the road for what could unarguably be Samsung’s best Galaxy Note device.
