Galaxy M52 5G comes to Brazil amid semiconductor shortage

The global semiconductor shortage has forced Samsung to push back the release of certain devices in some regions. However, it seems like the company is doing all that it can to bring the Galaxy M52 5G to customers in more markets as quickly as possible, and Brazil is next.

The Galaxy M52 5G is available for purchase online in Brazil starting today — October 28 — in black and white for the price of R$3,499 ($623). Customers who buy the phone before November 21 will get a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 for free.

In addition, Samsung will grant 14,000 Livelo points and 12% cashback using the code SAMSUNG12 for customers who buy the Galaxy M52 5G before October 29 via PicPay.

Galaxy M52 5G delivers superb performance with some compromises

We reviewed the Galaxy M52 5G not too long ago and were blown away by the phone’s sleek design, superb performance thanks to the Snapdragon 778G 5G SoC, and smooth 120Hz display. The battery life is fantastic, and the main camera is excellent. One UI is fully featured, but there are a few shortcomings to consider.

There’s no 3.5mm headphone jack, so if you still depend on this standard, you’ll need a dongle. The phone ships with a 15W charger even though it supports 25W, and it has no stereo speakers or water and dust resistance.

It’s a great package overall, but Samsung had to take a few shortcuts to focus on improving other aspects. If you’re looking for good performance and battery life, a great display, and decent cameras, and you don’t mind letting go of the 3.5mm standard or IP rating, the Galaxy M52 5G is a great contender.
