The $550 price tag for Apple’s AirPods Max raised no few eyebrows, but the Russian luxury brand Caviar blows that out of the water. It just launched a version of these over-the-ear headphones that is 200x more expensive.
First off, it’s plated with gold. Then the headband is covered in crocodile leather. That raises the price to $108,000. Buyers have a choice of AirPods Pro black or white. There’s even 1-click ordering for speedy convenience.
“It is impossible to look away from this innovative and splendid device created for those who value their uniqueness and want to always be on top,” notes Caviar.
Caviar makes Apple products more expensive
It must be frustrating to the super-rich that any peasant can buy an iPhone. How can they show off their extreme wealth? Caviar caters to this group. It takes off-the shelf electronics and makes unique, ridiculously expensive versions.
The gold-plated AirPods Max is just one example. Consider the Caviar iPhone 12 Pro Victory Pure Gold, which encrusts Apple’s latest handset in precious metal and diamonds and sells for $45,000.
